FILTERING THE AIR IN YOUR HOME

If the outside air is harmful, it must be filtered before you breathe it.

You need an efficient filtration system that simultaneously stops smog and noise to protect your health.

Filtering the air so you don't breathe in pollutants

We've been hearing about air pollution for ages. Nothing new under the sun.
We've been hearing about it so much that it has become almost second nature, as if it weren't really our problem. We've forgotten that it comes into our homes, right where we think we're safe.

The air we breathe at home, at work, at school is not healthy: carbon dioxide (CO2) is responsible for an inexorable rise in respiratory diseases and minor physical disorders (headaches, drowsiness, chronic fatigue and poor concentration).

WHAT DO WE MEAN WHEN WE TALK ABOUT POLLUTANTS?

The fine particulates PM10 and PM2,5 and the ultrafine PM1 are some of the most harmful airborne outdoor pollutants.
Common filters can't capture them. And masks or simple pollen filters are even less effective.
These fine dusts penetrate deep down in our respiratory system, causing serious damage to our internal organs.

When we open windows to let in fresh air, pollens, bacteria and other volatile compounds in the atmosphere enter, together with smog and particulates, all irritating the respiratory tract and causing many of the most common allergies.

URBAN AREAS, NOISE POLLUTION AND HEALTH

People who live in metropolitan areas are also exposed to noise pollution from outside: road traffic, trains or public venues open until late at night.

In Europe alone, about 9.7 million people are exposed to unacceptable levels of noise pollution (above 75dB(A) in a 24-hr period): most of the noise comes from road traffic.

One European in four is exposed to potentially harmful levels of noise pollution.
Some of the classic symptoms caused by noise pollution are sleeplessness, poor concentration and high levels of stress but also diabetes, strokes and heart attacks.
Noise is a hidden threat to our health.

CLEAN AIR: FILTERS THAT DO MUCH MORE THAN JUST FILTER

If the air inside the rooms we occupy is more polluted than the outdoor air, it is essential to filter the outdoor air before we breathe it.

If noise threatens our health as much as smog does then we need a single system that can address both problems.

To do this, we created Aircare, an efficient filtration system that can simultaneously stop smog and noise.

A thousand times better than pollen filters. A whole different story.

Aircare protects your wellbeing because it filters up to 99% of outdoor pollutants

STANDARDS

ISO 16890 - EN 1822

Air filters for general ventilation

The new ISO 16890 standard for filtration entered into force in August 2018 and replaces EN 779:2012. It lays down the technical specifications, requirements and classification system based upon particulate matter efficiency (ePM). This new classification introduces efficiency based on three particle size ranges (ePM10, ePM2,5 and ePM1). EN 1822:2009 is the European standard for high efficiency air filters (EPA, HEPA and ULPA).

Aircare filtration levels:

Filter Detail
ISO ePM10*
efficiency 95%
PM10: particulate matter of less than 10 micron, that can penetrate into the upper respiratory tract (nose and throat)
ISO ePM2,5*
efficiency 85%
PM2,5: fine particulate matter with a diameter of less than 2,5 micron, that can penetrate deep into the lungs (mouth)
ISO ePM1*
efficiency 85%
PM1: particulate matter with a diameter of less than 1 micron, that can contribute to the insurgence of respiratory problems and other serious illnesses
HEPA**
efficiency of up to 95%
HEPA: particulate matter with a diameter of less than 0,3 micron, used in operating theatres

* Corresponds to classification F8 in the superseded EN 779:2012

** Optional filter

What's the most efficient way to filter air?

Thesan Aircare

Pollution is a dramatic health problem for society, which can be addressed effectively with appropriate ventilation systems, These can change, filter and clean air and still have low energy consumption.

Air inside the home has the highest pollution from hazardous substances.
Aircare filters and cleans indoor air, keeping pollutants and allergens at harmless concentrations for humans and pets.

FILTERING POWER

Aircare has a multi-filter system composed of one G4 pre-filter + one high efficiency nanofibre filter at the supply air grille, which filters more than 98% of PM2,5 and up to 100% of PM10.
A third G3 filter is positioned at the exhaust air grille to protect the heat exchanger from any impurities that could damage or dirty it.

FILTER CLEANING

The filters are extremely easy to clean and there is no need for specialists. The end user can rinse the exhaust air filter under running water and dry it. If the supply air filter is not dust-caked, you can vacuum it.
When it is no longer possible to clean the filters, replace them so you can continue to benefit from the correct level of filtration.

NO MORE ALLERGIES

When high concentrations of pollens and other volatile compounds cause breathing problems, Aircare becomes a truly essential ally.
Its high filtering power stops pollen, pollutants and bacteria from entering the home, making it comfortable to live in again - a must for allergy sufferers and people with respiratory problems.
